The priest from Hârtop village, Floreşti district, is serving not only his church, but also the community. After each service, people are offered a warm meal, while the best pupils receive an allowance.

The best pupils receive each month 30 lei from Father Sergiu Boldirescu. While it is not a big amount, the children are motivated.

"It causes children to try harder, as each wishes to gain an allowance from the church" director of local school from Hârtop, Galina Pleşca explained.

Each Sunday, all those who come to the service are also invited to lunch. The food is bought using the donations. Soon, a canteen will be opened, fitting in to 100 people.

At the church are also organized workshops for children. Teenagers can learn to sew.

The priests also organizes a group of volunteers who offer food to those in need and help manage households.

Sergiu Boldirescu has been serving the village for 15 years. He tried to bring changes from the very start: "If we do not change anything now that we are young, it will not be done when we will be 70, 80 years old."

The priest has a dream: he wishes to build near the church a social center for abandoned children.
