Prime Minister calls for urgent measures to prevent swine fever from entering Moldova
After hotbeds of swine fever have been detected in neighboring Ukraine, the Prime Minister has called for the Emergency Committee to be convened.
The Committee is to pass an Action Plan aiming preventing the swine fever from entering Moldova.
"There is a high risk that the swine fever may cross into Moldova. I demand that all the due measures are urgently undertaken, so as to prevent imports of meat contaminated with this virus," Pavel Filip maintained.
He has specified most of the hotbeds were uncovered in Ukraine in August.
The virus does not pass on to people, but the infected domestic or wild boars die.
