Prime Minister Pavel Filip at MBA Gala: We managed to make reforms and people to feel good
Prime Minister Pavel Filip, together with more than 1,000 entrepreneurs in the country, participated in the third edition of the Entrepreneurship Gala. In his speech, the prime minister said that the organizer of the event - the Moldovan Businessmen Association (MBA) is the one that supports the Government in the dialogue with the business representatives.
According to the prime minister, the stabilization of the economic situation and the implementation of the reforms for the business environment have been the main priorities since the assumption of the mandate.
Due to the economic growth and improvement of the business environment, the authorities have been able to make social investments.
Only a year ago thousands of kilometers of roads were built, hundreds of kindergartens were renovated, and over 1,000 young families had bought their first home in the First Home Program.
At the same time, in 3 years, the pensions increased by 47%, the average salary increased by 50% and the pensioners with an income of less than 2,000 lei, but also other categories of citizens, received 600 of lei for the winter holidays.
"Together with you, we have succeeded in making these reforms, so that today everyone can feel the benefits. On the one hand, you, the business people, on the other, people who need wages and higher pensions. There are results obtained by the team that is today governed by labor and sweat", said Pavel Filip.
In order to maintain the positive dynamics, the head of the Executive urged businessmen to continue to actively interact with the state authorities, expressing the conviction that the new year will bring new successes for entrepreneurs, the national economy and every citizen.
"We have all the certainty that during this period we have succeeded in laying the ground and starting to build in the Republic of Moldova. Let us ensure this continuity also in 2019, because this construction will rise at a higher speed, simply because the foundation was put", concluded Pavel Filip.
At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc, the President of the Moldovan Businessmen Association, said that the current government is the only one that has managed to make the most of the promises made to businessmen, and 2018 was the best in the last 10 years concerns the economic field.
"We want your business to thrive in 2019, and in 2020, and in many, many years after that, because better for business, it means better for the country. Better for the country means better for people , and that is the goal that unites us. If the turnover and the profits increase, the budget revenues will increase, the wages will increase and the number of jobs will increase", said Vlad Plahotniuc.
At the event, ten young entrepreneurs received grants from MBA for business development.
