Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with Norica Nicolai and Maria Grapini
Prime Minister Pavel Filip met today with the delegation of the Friends of Moldova Group of the European Parliament, Romanian MEP Norica Nicolai and Maria Grapini.
The prime minister appreciated the continued support of the MEPs for the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova, both at bilateral level and at the plenary sessions of the European Parliament. The voice of Romanian MEPs is even more vocal now, when Romania holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Particular attention being paid to the future of the Eastern Partnership (PaE).
The parties also made an exchange of views on the February 24th Parliamentary elections. The prime minister said that the authorities are making every effort to ensure that the elections are free, democratic and transparent, according to all European norms.
Europarliamentaries Norica Nicolai and Maria Grapini appreciated the reforms implemented by the Government for raising the standard of living of the population and mentioned that they will continue to support the Republic of Moldova on its European path.
The group of friends of the Republic of Moldova in the European Parliament was created in 2017, at the initiative of Norica Nicolai.
