Prime minister Pavel Filip had a meeting today with the deputy prime minister of Russia, Dmitrii Rogozin, who is in Chisinau for a two-day visit.
The two officials have discussed the latest evolutions regarding the main elements on the agenda of bilateral cooperation.
The prime minister Pavel Filip has welcomed the meeting of the co-presidents of the Moldo-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for economic cooperation, mentioning the interest of Moldova for the enhancement of the commercial and investment relations with partners from Russia, and especially, for the renewing of the export of Moldovan goods on Russian market.
An important subject for discussion was the regulation of the Transnistrian problem. In this context, the parties have pleaded for the promotion of negotiations in the format 5+2, welcoming the recent renewal of the discussions in this format in Berlin.
The interlocutors have discussed aspects regarding the cooperation in migration and cultural-humanitarian fields, making reference to the need of promoting many governmental programs of developing the relations in these fields of cooperation.
