Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Friday evening. During the discussion, current topics on the bilateral agenda were addressed.
The officials noted the intense nature of the political dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine and confirmed the interest of both countries for its continuous promotion by organizing joint actions in the near future.
Particular attention was paid to state border cooperation, especially joint control at border crossing points, and willingness to extend this practice was expressed.
Pavel Filip and Petro Poroshenko also discussed the interaction of the two countries within international organizations.
The President of Ukraine thanked the Republic of Moldova for co-authorizing and supporting the Resolution initiated by Ukraine on Crime Militarization, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 17 this year.
Pavel Filip and Petro Poroshenko also exchanged views on the evolution of the situation in the two states and the region.
Particular attention was paid to the Transnistrian regulation, noting the steps taken by the Government of Moldova in this direction.
