Process of collecting proposals on road sections to be included in project "Good roads for Moldova 2" in 2019

Today, the "Economy Talks" Press Club was held. The representatives of the media institutions, together with the entrepreneurs and civil servants responsible for the transport infrastructure, discussed the problems and visions of development in the Moldovan roads sector. An important topic addressed within the press club was also the Governmental Program "Good roads 2 for Moldova". Moreover, Chiril Gaburici announced that the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) has initiated the process of collecting proposals on the road sections to be included in the project for 2019. "We want transparency and the involvement of a representative number of citizens in the process of selecting the data for the elaboration of the project "Good roads 2 for Moldova". Taking into account the need to consult local residents, including in the process of selecting the road sectors, we called for the data collection process to be launched for the drafting of the Town Hall Program of the country, "the minister said.
According to him, the information will be collected involving a representative number of inhabitants in the decision-making process, taking into account the 7 types of interventions, including the national and local public roads in the urban and outlying areas of the respective localities. The decision of the local council on the identified road sector, including the type of intervention requested, will be transmitted for centralization to the Local Level II Local Authorities, which after processing, including the SE's responsible technical staff. "State Road Administration" will send the systematized information to MIE. "I want the mobilization and involvement of the citizens together with the LPA to identify the parts of the road, we request the presentation of the information until 30.11.2018 in the level of the Local Public Authorities of the second level", pointed out Chiril Gaburici.
Also, the State Secretary of MEI, Anatol Usatii, talked about the specificity of the road construction industry in the Republic of Moldova.
Anatol Usatîi referred to the 7 contracts terminated with the contractors, on the grounds of non-observance of the term of execution of the works. "Today we have held talks with the World Bank, we have prepared and submitted to the World Bank the proposal package on the future procurement strategy on 25 September, which was developed on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the failure of previous auctions. It is necessary to involve local entrepreneurs more by simplifying the qualification criteria and the contractual conditions, as well as giving extra time for the preparation of the offers, "the Secretary of State added.
During the discussion, the entrepreneurs present at the event talked about the work done within the "Good Roads" Program, but also the difficulties encountered by them in the process of work.
Finally, at the proposal of Minister Chiril Gaburici, the sessions of the "Economy Talks" Press Club will be held monthly, the next meeting will be in the field of information and communication technology.
