Proposal for Andrei Năstase. Dorin Chirtoacă demands to clarify Air Moldova scam
Liberal Party promises to withdraw its accusations against PPDA leader if Andrei Năstase and his godfather, Victor Ţopa will return to the state budget seven million euros obtained through fraudulent privatization of Air Moldova.
A few days ago, liberal Dorin Chirtoacă presented evidence to prove that in 2000 Andrei Năstase helped Victor Topa to privatize Air Moldova. The two convinced government that they found a German investor but in fact, they were ones benefiting from this deal. The crime caused seven-million euro lost to the state budget.
"Where is this seven millions euros for these Moldovans to obtain? Where are the Germans? Please show me where is the German investor, the founder of that company in 2000. That didn't exist at all. Everything was eventually a scam!", said Dorin Chirtoacă, the chairman of the Liberal Party.
Due to the hidden business involving PAS - PPDA leaders, Dorin Chirtoacă says that his party has no place in the Sandu - Nastase bloc. Moreover, Chirtoacă believes Nastase should withdraw from the position of PPDA president, but also from the electoral race.
"We have discovered a tough truth. As long as this problem is not solved in the bulk, it means that the criteria of integrity and meritocracy are not respected. We don't have now conditions to move towards them. With these facts, they should withdraw", said Dorin Chirtoaca, the president of the Liberal Party.
The columnist Nicolae Negru claims that Andrei Nastase must clarify his involvement in the fraudulent privatization of Air Moldova or to withdraw from the electoral race, in order not to diminish the electoral chances of the Sandu-Năstase bloc.
The PAS leader should show principle and demand that Andrei Năstase withdraw from the February 24 parliamentary race, Negru says.
We tried to hear from Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase, but the two did not answer the phone.
