Ion Ceban is the PSRM candidate for the mayor elections. The decision was taken by the leadership of the party within a session.

"It is a great responsibility for me. I want to thank my colleagues. I don't have a certain opinion about the other candidates. I am ready to have any other rivals. The Capital doesn't have a strategic development plan. People should be elected in a base of a competition", said Ion Ceban, PSRM deputy.

Zinaida Greceanii, the PSRM president declared that they had four candidates, but Ion Ceban was supported by all the party's members. 

Anyway, the decision should be approved of the party. The socialists didn't decide on the Balti candidate for mayor elections, yet.

The local elections will take place on May 20 in many towns and villages from the country. Previously, the DA leader, Andrei Nastase and Valeriu Munteanu announced they will candidate for the Capital mayor office.
