Questions for Sandu and Nastase: Did they know that Open Dialog Foundation received $2 million from Platon?
Many questions of the parliamentary inquiry commission regarding the interference of the Open Dialogue Foundation in the internal affairs of the country and the illegal financing of the parties remained unanswered. This was because the PAS and PPDA leaders refused to attend the hearings.
The committee chairman announced last night that the report on the investigation had been finalized and will shortly be presented to the Legislature plenary. According to Igor Vremea, depuies wanted to find out from Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase if they know that NGO Ludmila Kozlowska received $2 million from two companies belonging to Veaceslav Platon, which was confirmed by the institutions from Moldova and currently examined in criminal terms.
Another unanswered question is whether the PAS and PPDA leaders have noticed that so-called civic activists from Chisinau, who do not hide their sympathy for the Russian Federation, participated in the "Open Dialog" events organized by lobbyists.
Also, if he had participated in the hearings, Sandu and Nastase should have explained how they enrolled with Ludmila Kozlowska in the diversionary struggle against Moldova. This, after lobbying, contributed directly to the approval in various European fora of resolutions directed towards our country, but also of Romania, Ukraine and Poland.
"We have reflected several of our conclusions, several observations, analyzes of all the materials that the Commission has in principle obtained and provided to one or other institutions, including those that are public. from the first source to find answers to some questions, including those of a confidential nature, but please, that's it", said Igor Vremea, deputy DPM.
On Monday, the PAS and PPDA leaders again refused to attend the hearings of the parliamentary committee. At the door of Parliament, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase repeatedly called for the sitting to be public, but this is contrary to the law.
Although Sandu and Nastase reject any direct link with the Open Dialog Foundation, several photos have appeared in the press showing that they had participated in at least two events organized with the support of this NGO, accused of lobbying for dangerous criminals, benefiting from dubious funding and delivering military equipment to Donbass.
The president of this foundation, Ludmila Kozlovska, confirmed that she paid the air ticket for PAS leader Maia Sandu to attend a conference held in Brussels.
