Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today had a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss the alleged killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Kashoggi, who has disappeared since entering the Consulate saudi to Istanbul two weeks ago, writes radiochisinau.md.
According to Anadolu, Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Mike Pompeo at Ankara International Airport in Esenboga and it took 35 minutes. The meeting took place before the president of Turkey came to Moldova to start the two-day official visit to Moldova.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Head of Intelligence (MIT) Hakan Fidan attended the talks between the two officials.
Mike Pompeo also visited Saudi Arabia to discuss the issue. The US official said he had an honest conversation with Saudi Prince Mohammad bin Salman during his visit to Riad on Tuesday.
