Record Easter sales at biggest bakery factory: 100 tonnes of cozonac and 11 tonnes of Matzo
Traders find good chances in Easter holidays. Easter sales grew by 4 percent, compared with the same period last year, says a balance sheet of bread makers.
The largest bakery factory in the country sold over 100 tons of traditional cozonac and over 22 tons of Italian cozonac. 11 tons of Matzo were traded.
"More than four percent of our products were manufactured and sold, compared with figures of 2017," said Boris Andros, director of a bakery company.
Wine sales also increased, particularly red wines.
Moldovans keep the traditions. Home-made wine is indispensable on tables of people. A wine-maker sold hundreds of thousands of bottles from March to Easter, triple sales compared with the same period in 2017.
Red wine stands the next position. The same wine-maker sold 100,000 bottles, twice as many as last year's Easter holidays.
In the following days, Moldovans are again in the fever of shopping, because Radonitsa is marked on Sunday and Monday.
