Rectors of universities from Capital think that the change of their schedule won't solve the traffic jam issue
The rectors of the universities from the Capital don't like the proposal of Ruslan Codreanu, the interim of the Capital to change the schedule of the classes. The chairmen of the institutions think that the authorities should improve the infrastructure of the city, but not to change the schedule of the classes.
The administration of the universities say that the solution of the municipality has the right to be implemented, but, anyway, the thinks won't change that much.
"We can organize a more flexible schedule, so some of the students will come earlier, while the others will come later. But this is a temporary solution. It is better to improve the infrastructure of the city, than intervene in the schedule of the educational institutions", said Grigore Belostecinic, ASEM rector.
"We should analyze if the traffic jam will be the same after the schedule will be changed. If yes, then this project should be implemented", said Viorel Bostan, UTM rector.
Some rectors say that the schedule will modify the whole activity of the institutions, which is not very good for them.
"We finish the classes at 2:40 PM and start at 8AM. If we change it a bit, then we should come at 3PM. In the evening the master students are coming. They study till 6 or 7 PM", said Nicolae Chicus, rector of Ion Creanga University.
The representatives of the universities also said that they will realize some surveys to check the position of the students.
