The employees of the Central typography have begun to print the referendum ballots of February 24 for polling stations outside the country. About one million ballots will reach the 125 polling stations. The process was monitored by members of the Central Electoral Commission and representatives of the Intelligence and Security Service so that no deviation would be allowed.
The process of printing ballots for the Republican Consultative referendum began with the preparation of the matrix. Subsequently, it was introduced into a special machine that produces over 300,000 ballots in one hour.
"The circulation of the ballot papers for the polling stations abroad for the Republican consultative referendum is about 990,000. The contract price for referendum ballots is about 134,000 lei", said Alina Russu, CEC president.
Each ballot paper contains 14 security signs.
"There are different graphic forms that you can not identify, by only looking at them, but a specialist can easily see them", said Alina Russu, CEC president.
The two ballots are of different colors. Thus, in the pale yellow color, citizens will be asked if they agree for the number of deputies to be reduced from 101 to 61 and the beige bulletin will contain the question whether Moldovans support the idea that parliamentarians who disappoint them to be dismissed . The referendum will take place on February 24, the same day as the parliamentary elections.
