Regards from Chisinau to Stela Popescu:"She raised a gerenation"
Tens of fans said goodbye to Stela Popescu at the Constantin Tanasa Theater in Bucharest. The 81 year old actress died on Thursday after a stroke.
Two hours ago, her coffin was brought to Cernica Monastery, where she will be buried next to her husband Puiu Maximilian. Today, Stela Popescu received the last flowers and gratitude from the ones who admired her on the stage at the radio and TV or in the daily life.
Within the talk show Publika Report, Vitalie Dogaru and Eugen Doga remembered the actress.
"She was always full of life, her energy was the same as the one of a volcano. I've heard about her name many years ago, in Chiperceni. She was always interested in folk. I remember when she came to register something in a studio from Bucharest. She was singing on Grigore Vieru's lyrics. Her humor was amazing. I also knew her partner, Arsinel. They were inseparable", said Eugen Doga.
At the same time, Petru Hadirca, the director of Mihai Eminescu Theater from Chisinau sait it is a big loss for the Romanian theater.
"She raised a generation. We have the possibility to watch TVR channel, the Sunday album was admired by the whole country. Many parents were naming their children after Stela Popescu. She was a symbol for me too. Today, we lost the queen of the Romanian comedy. We had the luck to register some scenes in Chisinau. We are proud of her talent", said Petru Hadirca.
Publika.md reminds that the famous actress is buried today in Bucharest. Thousands of people came to commemorate her. They still don't believe she died.
