Regional Hospital from Rascani renovated thanks to Energy Efficiency Fund
The Regional Hospital from Rascani was renovated, offering people latest medical assistance. The building gained new equipment, a stand-by generator and thermal insulation.
They now also offer free lunch for the elderly. All those changes were possible, due to Energy Efficiency Fund.
The three operating theaters from the Regional Hospital, were renovated and provided with new equipment.
"This theater has now new Japanese equipment for microscopic intervention, which is a popular procedure in Moldova. We have a new anesthetic machine, which ready to be used" Chief of Surgery, Ion Covalciuc, said.
Every year around 8 thousand patients are treated in this hospital.
"Repair works were made, the building renovated. It is pleasant to work in better conditions" Medical Assistant, Ina Movilă, declared.
The building was also equipped with a stand-by generator, which will allow it to function in case of a black-out. It was bought using the money given by the Regional Council and costed 300 thousand lei.
If a black-out occurs this generator, with the power of 115 kWh, starts automatically. This generator can maintain the hospital working for 12 hours.
"It is another proof that the medical- health care quality improved, the health being now a priority for citizens of Rascani" former minister of health, Ruxanda Glavan, stated.
The total cost of the work amounts to 5 million lei.
"The thermal insulation costed 3.4 million lei, the Regional Council provided 1.1 million lei, while the stand-by generator 800 thousand lei" Chief of Medicine of the Regional Rascani hospital, Gheorghe Roșu, said.
The building also provides free lunches for elderly on daily basis.
"It cafeteria is a great help for us, thank you very much"
"This cafeteria is a pleasant change. We fought for this country, I used to be a member of the council, we also used to have such cafeterias, to feed the elderly."
300 thousand lei were spend for the cafeteria's renovation.
