Regulation regarding National Unique Service for emergency calls 112 was approved
The results of implementing the 112 National Service program was examined today, within the session of the Interdepartmental Steering Committee to provide the cooperation between the Unique National Service 112 and the specialized emergency services. Chiril Gaburici is the President of the Steering Committee.
Within the session there were examined and approved the Interaction Rules between the Single National Emergency Call 112 and the Emergency Specialist Services and the Regulation on the Organization and Functioning of the Expert Council of the Interdepartmental Steering Committee to ensure the interaction between the Single National Emergency Call 112 and the specialized services of expedite.
The Minister discussed with the members of the Committee the actions taken to implement the Single National Service for Emergency Calls 112, reiterating that it will be launched, on an operational basis, on 29 March this year. The 112 number can be called non-stop and free from any fixed or mobile phone.
The single national 112 service will ensure the speed of response to emergency calls by simultaneously involving more specialized services. Specifically, it will reduce the questioning time of the retrieved call, up to 40 seconds. After activating the single European emergency number 112, numbers 901, 902 and 903 will work in parallel until the end of June. Thus, as of July 2018, the old numbers of firefighters, police and ambulances will no longer work.
