Renewable energy. Kindergarten from eastern village to be heated by biomass
The kids attending the kindergarten from Șestaci, the eastern district of Șoldănești, the coming winter will be much warmer, as the building will be connected to a biomass heating system. The local authorities have already started the works, as the equipment will shortly be bought.
The project costs $80,000 and is funded from the Energy Efficiency Fund. The mayoralty will contribute with 15 % of the amount.
The authorities revamped the kindergarten with money granted by the Romanian Government. The conditions the children from Șestaci will enjoy have been appreciated by Democratic MP Corneliu Padnevici.
"The children will enjoy such a refurbished kindergarten, endowed with all the facilities. Many mayors shun undertaking such long-term projects because they require time, patience and know-how," he said.
The parents are glad. The kindergarten is attended by 40 children.
