Representatives from 11 Parliaments confirmed their attendance at the security summit held in Chisinau
Representatives from 11 Parliaments, including 6 Presidents of the Legislatures from Georgia, Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania and Latvia have confirmed that that will participate at the first inter-parliamentary summit on regional security challenges "Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Easter Partnership and current security challenges", which will take place in Chisinau on 2nd March.
Members of the European Parliament and representatives of United States Congress have also confirmed their attendance, as well as experts, such as executive vice president at the Atlantic Council of the United States, Damon Wilson, former United States Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, David Kramer, Chairman of the International Advisory Council at the Center for Social and Economic Research, Anders Åslund, Coordinator for the Office of Reconstruction and Stabilization, John Herbst, Ambassador Asif Chaudhry, Associate Director, Strategic Research Partnerships, and International Directo, Jonathan Eyal, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, former Deputy Secretary-General of NATO, as well as other international and regional experts.
The summit will speak of problems tied to disinformation, informational security, energy security, faced challenges, economic growth and the rule of law within the Eastern Partnership.
The event will be organized in Chisinau by Moldova’s Parliament and the Atlantic Council, a U.S. think tank dedicated to international affairs.
