Less people were registered in the first class and the main causes of this phenomenon are the migration and the demography. The ones who applied the folder for the first grade will be acknowledged with the results soon.

The parents who want their children to pass in the first grade can apply the folders. The required documents are the following ones: parent's ID, birth certificate of the child and the medical commission's results.

 "The parents who request a certain school will apply the folders in the second round. Also, the children who didn't reach the age of 7 will apply on the second round", said Angela Cutasevici.

The schools are obliged to matriculate their child if he is seven years old, as he will pass some special tests.

"In case the parents want their child who is elder than 7 years old to pass in the first grade, he should pass the psychological test. This is recommended, because the child should be well developed", said Boris Volosatii, the director of Gheorghe Asachi lyceum.

Now, the admittance seems to be more complicated than previously. The truth is that this request is not compulsory.

"It is not necessary for the child to know two foreign languages or to dance, or whatever else. The thing he should be able to do is to take care about him", said Boris Volosatii, the director of Gheorghe Asachi lyceum.

In 2017, over 36 000 pupils passed in the first grade.

Because of the demography issues, less parents request to take their children in the first grade, while in the past two years, the admittance contest decreased.
