Revenue and expenditure of the state social security budget for 2018 was increased by 26.5 million lei. The Parliament approved, during today's meeting, to change the law of state social security budget for 2018.

This year's revenue and expenditure will amount to 19 339 million lei. Expenditure for social services will be increased by 26.2 million lei and now constitutes 18 979.5 million lei. The expenses meant for activities funded from general resources will increase by 81 million lei and now constitutes 14 024.7 million lei. Expenses for activities funded from transfers from the state budget will be decreased by 54.5 million lei.

For senior social protection the expenses will be increased by 60 million lei. It will include the raised expenses tied to the increase of the average pension, the two stages of pension recalculation from 2018 and the 0.1 growth of the pension indexation coefficient compared to the approved one.

At the chapter of social protection for persons with disabilities, the expenses will be increased by 17.9 million lei, the number of foreseen beneficiaries being of 129 000 people.
