Revenues of 444.2 million lei, collected by Customs Service for a week

Between 08 and 14 October 2018, the revenues collected by the Customs Service to the state budget amounted to 444.2 million lei, with a total of 11 056 customs declarations.
Concerning the fight against customs fraud, over the past week, 119 violations of customs legislation were reported. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term in the territory of the Republic of Moldova of cars with foreign registration numbers, violation of the transit or customs declaration deadlines, non-authentication or non-authentication of the consumer goods (clothing and footwear, alcohol, tobacco products, pneumatic weapons, etc.). At the same time, 34 minutes were drawn up regarding the contravention and fines were applied in the amount of 134 494 lei.
Over the same period, the flow of transport units constituted 96,897 crossings. The highest traffic values were recorded at the Moldovan-Romanian border, and the most transited customs posts remain Leuşeni and Sculeni, with 18,429 and 14,126 crossings respectively.
For the convenience of those intending to cross the border, the Customs Service has established the Unique Call Center (+373 22 574 111), where they can find information on border crossings with various goods or complain about possible abuses admitted by to the employees of the institution. Over the past week, Line Operators responded to 274 requests for customs-related information.
