Revenues of 466.5 million lei collected by Customs Service for a week
Between November 19 and 25, 2018, the revenues collected by the Customs Service to the state budget amounted to 466.5 million lei, with a total of 11 092 customs declarations.
Concerning the fight against customs fraud, over the past week, 133 violations of customs legislation were revealed. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term in the territory of the Republic of Moldova of cars with foreign registration plates, violation of the transit or customs declaration deadlines, non-authentication or non-authentication of consumer goods (clothing and footwear, car, tobacco products, etc.). At the same time, 92 minutes of the offense were drawn up and fines were imposed in the amount of 328 541 lei.
Over the same period, the flow of transport units amounted to 81,502 crossings. The highest traffic values were recorded at the Moldovan-Romanian border, while the most transited customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 16 092 and 12 175 crossings, respectively.
Also, Customs remember important health fact that since November 5, is closed temporarily from the customs post "Palanca". The measure was imposed by the need to carry out the expansion of the new crossing point, which will be put into operation at the end of this year. Therefore, travelers who intend to cross the border at Palanca during this period are urged to opt for the Tudora customs post, where the number of inspectors has been supplemented to cope with the flow of passengers.
At the same time, we recall the traffic restrictions that occurred on November 2 in the Moghileov-Podolsk customs post on the territory of Ukraine in connection with the initiation of asphalt replacement works in the customs control area. Rehabilitation works are scheduled for two months. Therefore, given that in this period the capacity of the Ukrainian post will be reduced, we come up with the recommendation to cross the border through the "Briceni-Rossosan" or "Criva-Mamaliga" crossing points.
For the convenience of those intending to cross the border, the Customs Service has established the Unique Call Center (+373 22 574 111), where they can find information on border crossings with various goods or complain about possible abuses admitted by to the employees of the institution. Over the past week, Information Line operators responded to 257 requests for customs-related information.
