Revenues of 507.9 million lei, collected by State Budget of Customs Service, for a week

In the period 20-26 August 2018, the revenues collected by the Customs Service to the state budget amounted to 507.9 million lei, with a total of 11,106 customs declarations.
Concerning the fight against customs fraud, over the past week, 270 violations of customs legislation were revealed. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the cars with foreign registration numbers, the non-authentication or inappropriate declaration of the consumer goods (clothing and footwear, cigarettes, home textiles, new and used car parts etc ). At the same time, 39 minutes of the offense were drawn up and fines were imposed in the amount of 161 765 lei.
Over the same period, the flow of transport units constituted 113 320 crossings. The highest traffic values were registered at the Moldovan-Romanian border, while the most transited customs posts remain Leuşeni and Sculeni, with 22,159 and 13,265 crossings respectively.
Increased traffic was recorded during the last three days and through the temporary Palanca station, opened during the reconstruction works of the new crossing point.During the three days, it was crossed by 3,828 vehicles.
For the convenience of those intending to cross the border, the Customs Service has established the Unique Call Center (+373 22 574 111), where they can find information on border crossings with various goods or complain about possible abuses admitted byto the employees of the institution. Over the past week, Information Line operators responded to 342 requests for customs-related information.
