Roaming tariffs between Moldova and Romania will be eliminated. The document was signed at Bucharest
A joint meeting of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Romania took place at Bucharest.
A number of bilateral agreements were signed in the joint meeting of the two Executive Ministers. These include the document on the elimination of roaming charges between the two countries.
This means that Moldovan citizens traveling to Romania will be able to speak on the phone at local rates.
Representatives of the Governments of Romania and the Republic of Moldova signed other bilateral acts, including: a Protocol between the Ministries of the Interior on the establishment and activities of joint patrol teams at the common border; a declaration of intent on creating an enhanced training framework for the establishment of a Moldovan-Romanian joint battalion.
It also signed the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism, the Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministries of Culture of both States, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs on cooperation in the field of assistance and consular protection for persons with dual citizenship; Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry for Romanians Abroad and the Diaspora Office; Memorandum of Understanding on the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Economic Cooperation.
At the same time, the Action Plan for Health and Medical Sciences was signed for the period 2019-2020.
