Romanian border guards have discovered nearly 5 kg of silver jewelries in a van driven by a Moldovan.
After searching the vehicle, officers found 4 970 grams of jewelries from white metal - rings, bracelets, earring, pendants and necklaces.
The 50-year-old man declared that he purchased the goods in Vlădești commune, Galați, for an unknown person.
The jewelries worth 41 561 lei were seized.
The man is investigated for collecting, holding, producing, transporting, taking over, storing, handing over, selling and selling the goods or merchandise to be placed under a customs procedure knowing that they are smuggled or intended to be committed.
