Romanian Parliament adopted declaration of union with Republic of Moldova
The Romanian Parliament adopted the declaration union with Republic of Moldova. 19 MPs held back.
The declaration has a symbolic character and the Romanian Parliament expresses its sovereignty and the desire for the union with Republic of Moldova.
The speeches were tinted. The majority appealed the history and cultural elements. Some of the politicians expressed their desire for the union.
Liviu Dragnea and Calin Popescu Tariceanu were one of the ones who supported the union of Romania with Republic of Moldova.

Andrian Candu, the President of the Moldovan Parliament talked about the desire of Moldova to integrate with the European Union.
The ones from the UDMR talked about their cultural autonomy and didn't vote at all.
Today, we commemorate 100 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania, was attended by Romanian and Moldovan officials. Officially, the Great Union was recognized by the other countries in 1920 when the Paris Peace Agreement was signed.
