Romanian pianist Horia Mihail comes to Chişinău within tour "Travelling pianist"
The VIIth edition of the tour "Travelling pianist", held by the Romanian pianist Horia Mihail will begin with a concert în ritm de vals in Chişinău, which will take place on April 5 at the National Art Museum of Moldova. Then the tour will continue till May 4 in 15 localities of Romania, informs moldpres.ro.
The event is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute "Mihai Eminescu" in Chişinău in collaboration with the Romanian Broadcasting Society, the Cultural Association "Accendo" and the Organ Hall from the Capital.
Asked by Moldpress, the director of ICR, Valeriu Matei stated that the institution he rules is performing for the fifth time. Within the programme from the current year, he specified, was included music by Schubert, Brahms, Dvorak, Chopin, Ravel and Debussy.
"For seven years I’m trying to tell the world musical stories. There were years when I paid attention to some great composers, years in which the musical trends were valued. This year, I hope this invitation to waltz be received, because I shall be presenting extremely interesting, refined pieces, that offer substance and historic value to this art, which is more associated with the dancing evenings”, stated with the occasion of this tour pianist Horia Mihail.
According to the organizers, the aim of the tour is to bring joy to the melomaniacs, but also having the generous aim to gift to a city a concert piano with right of use for the following years.
After the seventh tour, the Travelling Pianist will stay in Caracal, city that hosted several shows of the tours organized by Radio Romania.
