Romania's Day celebrated in Chisinau: Unionists remembered the dead soldiers who fought for the Great Union
Dozens of people attended the Union march from Chisinau.
The ceremony started at the Cemetery of the Romanian Heroes. There, the participants attended a service. Then, they put flowers at the graves of the Romanian heroes.
"I have been in Alba Iulia too. But, this year, I couldn't go there."
"My grand grand parents are Romanians. I am Romanian."
Then, people started their road to the Railway's Alley, where they put flowers at the monument of the deported in Siberia people."
On the way, many people gathered.
When they arrived at Stefan cel Mare monument, they danced hora.
Among the participants there were also residents of Romania.
"Even if many Romanians go to Alba Iulia, we think it is important to come in Moldova too."
"We came prom Hancesti. I couldn't go to Alba Iulia and I decided to come to Chisinau."
"It is extremely important to support each other and fulfill our targets", said Vlad Biletchi, the President of ODIP.
In the morning, a service was held at the Bassarabia Metropolitan.
"We came to pray for the Romanians."
"That was the greatest achievement of the Romanian nation."
Daniel Ionita, the Romania Ambassador to Chisinau mentioned that we should not forget the lessons we have been taught 100 years ago.
This evening, the Parliament's building, the National Art Museum, the Museum of History and the National Library will be covered by the colors of the national flag.
