Romania's Transgaz endorses contracts to construct Ungheni - Chisinau gas pipeline
Romania's state-owned company Transgaz has signed contracts with companies who will build Ungheni - Chisinau gas pipeline. Working order will be issued on May 2, according to communiqué of Romanian Economy Ministry.
"By activities of Transgaz in Moldova, we demonstrate that only support towards Moldova for pro-european path and common investment projects are solutions to foster citizens' well-being", said Romanian Economy Minister Niculae Bădălău.
In turn, Transgaz director Ion Sterian pledges full support for project implementation.
"Project Ungheni - Chisinau contributes to sustainable development of Moldova economy. It also improves energetic infrastructure, ensures country's energy security", said Ion Sterian.
On January 14 in 2019, Romania's Transgaz signed contract to start building gas pipeline Ungheni-Chisinau and implementing measures to conduct the transport of natural gas Iaşi-Ungheni-Chişinău.
