Russian fest organized in Vadul lui Voda. Dozens of people celebrated Ivan Kupala holiday
They started a fire, made flower crowns, listened to music and the most courageous jumped over the flames. This is how dozens of people had fun at Ivan Kupala fest that occurred on the shore of Dnister river in Vadul lui Voda.
"You can make a with. This wish will become a reality."
The fest was opened by Ivan Kupala himself. He was riding a horse.
"The horse is the symbol of Pegas, this is the wish to fly. It is about happiness and the relationship between the human beings and the nature."
The songs and the dance of a band from Belarus was attractive for the foreign visitors.
"I found out about this event in the morning."
The girls who made the crowns had thrown these into water. The tradition says that if it goes away of the shore, then the girl will get married soon.
"The crown still floats. I hope it won't drown, because this way all my wishes will come true and I will get married."
The jump over the flames is also an old tradition.
The fest was organized by the Russian and Belarus community from Moldova and was supported by the Russian Center for Science and Culture.
"This fest has beautiful traditions."
The event targets to make people have fun in a healthy way.
