Gazprom is interested in gas transit via Belarus, BelTA learned from Director General of OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus Vladimir Mayorov.

"The parent company Gazprom is interested in giving us transit volumes to allow the Belarusian enterprise to work successfully," he said. 

The public joint-stock company (OAO) Gazprom Transgaz Belarus is a daughter enterprise of the Russian company Gazprom. The Belarusian enterprise is wholly owned by the Russian company.

The Belarusian enterprise is headquartered in Minsk and employs a total of 6,800 people.
