Salary expectations of professional schools, lyceums and universities graduates
Young people from villages want higher salaries than their colleagues from cities. According to a study realized by Magenta Consulting, they want to receive at least 5 000 lei per month. Otherwise, they would rather work abroad. The young people from cities said they are ready to work for an average salary of 4 750 lei.
The expectations are different, according to the gender and studies. The women are less finical in this case, they are ready to work for a salary of 4 500 lei. The men want at least 5 000 lei.
Smaller expectations have the students who graduate from lyceums and professional schools. They are ready to work for an average salary of 3 000 lei or 3 250 lei. Those who have university studies wouldn't accept a smaller salary than 5 000 lei.
The highest difference of expectations and reality is registered by those who study Arts. They would like to have a salary of 5 000 lei, but they are aware they can't receive more than 3 250 lei. The situation of those who study medicine is the same.
The survey was realized between July 9 and 18, on an echelon of 409 people aged between 18 and 25 on an error of +/- 4.8%.
