Scorching heat in Moldova! How to cope with extreme temperatures
Extremely high temperatures may have adverse health effects, especially if the minimum safety standards are not met. According to nutritionists, during this period, we need to consume as much water as possible, also juices, fruits and salads and give up fat-rich foods.
Doctors recommend supplementing our diet with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, cabbage, carrots, apples, watermelons, peaches, but also dairy products and cereals.
Nutritionists also recommend eating grilled poultry and beef.
In contrast, foods high in fat, alcohol and coffee are not recommended. Also, for the period, doctors suggest wearing hats and light colour clothes made from natural fibers.
In the coming days, the temperatures will remain high. In Chisinau, the highest values will be up to 38 degrees Celsius, and the lowest - about 21 degrees.
The coming weekend will see temperatures up to 39 degrees Celsius, both Saturday and Sunday presumably to be the hottest days of this summer.
