Serafim Urechean, the former mayor of the Capital will run as an independent for the parliamentary elections. He confirmed this information for Publika TV. He said he will run at the No.28 constituency from Posta Veche neighborhood of the Capital.
"I had many achievements when I was the Capital mayor. I will run at the constituency from Posta Veche", said Serafim Urechean.
According to him, among the priorities of his elections program there are: improving the infrastructure of the city, developing the entertainment zone of Chisinau. Referring to the European vector, he said he still supports it. Previously, Serafim Urechean was a deputy in two parliaments and leaded "Alianta Moldova Noastra" party.
On February 24, 2019, in Moldova will take place parliamentary elections based on a mixed voting system. Thus, 50 deputies will be elected on party list and 51 by citizens.
