The seven defendants in the Andrei Braguta file, the young man who died in the preventive detention isolator after being beaten by cellmates, will find their sentences today.The Friday session, in which magistrates had to give a ruling, was interrupted until today at the request of the lawyers.
Prosecutors have requested between 8 and 13 years of jail for the three employees of the isolator and four of Braguta former cell colleagues. They are accused of inhuman treatment of the victim.
The young man had been detained on August 15, 2017, for aggressive behavior in traffic.
He died on Aug. 26 at the Pruncul Penitentiary Hospital because of the injuries he suffered when he was beaten in beatings just under insulting employees who did nothing to stop the aggressors.
