A group of doctors was awarded Honorary Diplomas of the Government.
15 employees of the medical system were awarded today with the highest distinction of the Executive, Diploma of Honor of the Government, on the occasion of the World Health Day, marked on 7 April.
"You are the one who watches the most valuable thing of a nation - health", said Premier Pavel Filip.
The official also expressed his gratitude to the employees of the health system for professionalism and devotion.
"You have embraced a notorious but also very responsible profession. You are the one who watches the most valuable thing of a nation - health. A healthy nation still means a developed country", said Pavel Filip.
Among those honored with the Government's Diploma are specialists from various fields: practitioners, health care managers, teachers, and family doctors, who have been practicing independent practice since January 1.
"I am convinced that the reform of primary health care will solve the problem we have today in Moldova - the lack of family doctors", said the head of the Executive.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government team will continue to oversee the implementation of health reforms so that they bring benefits to people, be it public health, primary care, hospital or emergency care.
The Prime Minister has confessed that he has a special respect for the physician profession, including for personal reasons.
"I have to admit that my mother wanted to become a doctor very much, I disappointed her, choosing the profession of engineer and this road brought me where I am, but instead I am glad to have the opportunity to thank you and congratulate you for the work you do", concluded Pavel Filip.
In turn, health workers thank the Prime Minister for their appreciation and have shown themselves confident that together they will complete the reforms that have begun, thus contributing to the health system's health and increasing the quality of medical services.
