Sewer caps have been repeatedly stolen for long time in the capital. However, any specific solution has not been clarified. 

Since the beginning of 2017, 200 drain covers have disappeared unreasonably. The damaged was fixed by company Apă-Canal Chișinău who has spent million lei from their own budget. 

Typically, the incidents happened in the nighttime. Lots of cases have been informed to Apă-Canal company through Hot Line so far. 

A sewer cap cost around 400 lei at the waste metal collection points.

With waste metal collection, they tried to install 3 covers already. 

In order to install new sewer cap, Apă-Canal company has to spend 2 thousand lei. However, they are usually replaced with concrete blocks.
