A Moldovan policeman fulfilled her American dream even at the Federal Investigation Office in the US. Cristina Schimbov graduated the leadership program of the FBI National Academy, being the first Moldovan to score such a performance.

So they showed, for the past ten weeks, the morning of Cristina Schimbov. She ran tens of kilometers and crossed the most difficult obstacles.

"What I liked is that physical training starts from the way you have to feed yourself, depending on the effort you make every day. I've kept up with the men, I've never been beaten", said Cristina Schimbov, a graduate of the FBI Academy in the US, a senior officer on exceptional causes.

Cristina Schimbov, who is the president of the Women's Police Association of Moldova, arrived at the FBI Academy because of her 20 years of experience in police and English language. Together with another 20 women from different countries, she learned how to better analyze the offender's or victim's behavior, as well as how to manage a team.

"The lessons lasted until 5 pm, after which we had free time, but spare time was spent in the bookstore or preparing for the homework", explained Cristina Schimbov.

The policeman managed to impress American colleagues not only with her professionalism, but also with traditional Moldovan dishes. During the International Nights, organized at the FBI Academy, each participant presented his country as he knows best. Cristina chose to make cheese pies.

"One of the objectives of the strategy is to increase the number of women in the police and I believe that the fact that Cristina benefited from this training will motivate the girls to participate in police life, to engage in police", said Alexandru Pânzari, Head of the General Police Inspectorate.

"The fact that Cristina was the first one also stimulated us, police women, to try and access these beneficial programs", said Rodica Bostanica, a senior prosecutor.

More than 200 police officers from 25 countries have been admitted to FBI Academy courses in the US.
