Shocking details in the tragedy registered in Valcele village, Cantemir district, where three brothers were killed by their own father. The villagers claim that their mother was aggressive and did not take care of the children. The kids were staying at their relatives or neighbors, and for a period of time were given to a foster home. This happened after their mother left them to go with her lover.

After the woman left her family, the 4-year old child was taken to hospital with pneumonia, where he stayed with his father. His brothers were given to a parental assistant for two weeks.

The parental assistant Ecaterina Petcu says that she regrets now giving the children back.

The three kids were buried on Saturday. If before the relatives and neighbors were saying that the kids had a good family, now they recognize that the family had problems.

The social assistant from the village says that she found out about the problems in this family only when the mother left the home.

Meanwhile, the father of the three children feels better and will be transferred from the hospital to the Cahul penitentiary. The Police General Inspectorate has started an internal investigation in order to check if the tragedy could have been prevented.

The three kids were killed in the night from Friday to Saturday by their father, who stabbed them with a knife, and then tried to take his own life.

The police started a penal case for cold-blooded murder. The man will have to pass a psychiatric expertise in order to establish if he was rational at the moment of murder, if found guilty, he might receive a sentence of 20 years in jail.
