Dozens of people from villages from the central district of Hancesti have found a well-paid job as a shoe-making factory has opened in the village of Obileni.
Italian entrepreneurs invested MDL130 million and the footwear is exported to EU countries.
Premier Pavel Filip paid a visit to those 250 employees.
They say they are glad they can work in the village, otherwise they would have had to go overseas seeking for jobs.
"We must grow up to 800 jobs. People are employed from 13 villages along the Prut. The minibus takes them to work and then to their houses," said manager Andrei Holban.
