Shrine to burglar who was killed by a pensioner has been put back up for a fourth time
A shrine to a burglar who was killed by a pensioner has been put back up for a fourth time - as police reveal they have received NO complaints about the floral tributes being placed, wrote mirror.co.uk.
Family and friends of Henry Vincent have overnight again pinned dozens of bouquets of flowers to a fence at the property in Hither Green, where Vincent was fatally stabbed.
Some also had notes attached from friends and family members claiming that the career criminal “didn’t deserve” what had happened.
The war between residents and mourners has now entered day three as the flowers continue to be ripped down by people angry that the tributes are being placed - and rebuilt by people mourning Vincent's death.
Supporters of Richard Osborn-Brooks, 78, who killed the 37-year-old, have repeatedly taken down the tributes and branded the makeshift memorial 'disrespectful'.
Mounted police have been seen patrolling the area around the property as tensions over the shrine increase.
-The flowers were removed a third time on Tuesday evening by an unknown hooded vigilante.
The man, who refused to be named, removed about half the bouquets as he filmed himself, counting off the bouquets as he hauled them down.
He said: "I think it's quite disrespectful actually.
"I do feel bad for Vincent's family actually. But I feel extra bad for Mr Osborn.
"I am just going to dump them somewhere."
But now overnight they have been restored to the fence.
Vincent’s family have vowed to return to the home every day to replace the messages to “Henryboy”.
They even demanded an apology from Richard, 78, who is under police protection with disabled wife Maureen, 76, amid fears of revenge attacks after he was released without charge.
Mr Osborn-Brooks was home with his disabled wife when Vincent broke in with his accomplice, believed to be 28-year-old Billy Jeeves.
After getting into a struggle the 78-year-old fatally stabbed Vincent with a screwdriver.
