Social entrepreneurship became more developed in Moldova. More persons with disabilities got employed
Health problems are not an impediment for the people who want to work. The social entrepreneurship became more developed in Moldova. The employees understood that the disabilities can be used as abilities and people with more vulnerable social status can also be responsible. Today, took place a forum to promote those practices.
Marcel Galusca is 16 years old and suffers of epilepsy. Anyway, it is not an impediment for him to have a normal life. He works in a catering company for already three months. Marcel says he likes what is he doing. From an early age he used to help his mother, who is also a cooker.
"We are serving, participate at banquets, we practice at the canteen. I think the people with disabilities should work", said Marcel Galusca, waiter.
Marcel has seven colleagues who have disabilities too. Everybody is working equally.
''My parents raised me in such a way that I have never felt I have this disease. I have never thought that this disease is a problem", said Marcel.
At the forum participated representatives of different companies who work with social-vulnerable or ill people.
"We taught them how to sew, we offered them sewing machines and we are looking for commands. They work from home. They have a great desire to work'', said Nicolae Ciocan, the director of an association that offers jobs.
"I makes no difference for us if we work with social vulnerable people. Everybody want to work and earn money'', said Velicinki Adriana, the sail manager of a housekeeping company.
They got inspired by some person from other countries who started to work with persons with disabilities. At the event there were present employees from Belgium, Hungary, the United Kingdom and the United States.
"In Hungary the things are different. We don't have laws according to the social entrepreneurship, but, anyway, there are many social affairs. As far as I know, there was a progress and people with disabilities are not a problem anymore, they are an important part of the society'', declared Andras Karpati, the spokesman of a Hungary company.
The country supports the employers who work with people with disabilities and offers them subventions. Thus, in the past years, the number of the persons with employed persons with diseases had raised up to tho thousand.
"We refer to the subventions at some goods, taxes, inclusively, the ones for social and medical insurance", said Anastasia Oceretnii, the State Secretary within the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
In our country there are over 20 social companies. In the past three years, those created up to 120 work places. Almost 40% of the employees are with disabilities.
