Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Kingdom of Spain, Violeta Agrici, had a meeting with Spanish State Secretary for Social Security, Octavio José Granado Martínez, with whom he discussed the issue of ensuring social security for citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are active in the territory of Spain.
The two officials exchanged views on the social security systems of both states and highlighted the importance of a legal framework that would regulate the social protection of foreign nationals working in another state.
In the context, the parties agreed on the need to boost the negotiation process on the draft of the Moldovan-Spanish intergovernmental agreement that has been under discussion for some time.
The Spanish official was open to resuming talks with the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova to advance the process.
