The Moldovan Socialist MPs (PSRM) propose a new way of indexing the pensions. The registered a bill with the Parliament stipulating that the pensions are indexed twice a year: in April and October, depending on inflation.
They suggest the money for the indexation should be taken from the retirement fund.
"We propose to increase the pensions twice a year. The minimum pensions, which represent 90%, are to be raised to the existence minimum," said PSRM law-maker Vlad Batrîncea.
They also propose to return to the age limits of 57 years for women and 62 for men. A similar draft was advanced by President Igor Dodon.
