Soldiers of Stefan cel Mare Infantry Brigade performed firing marches
The militaries of the "Stefan cel Mare" Motorized Infantry Brigade performed firing marches in a tactical exercise at Bulboaca National Military Training Base.
The event was attended by Defense Minister, Eugen Sturza and the representatives of the National Army's commanding body.
Eugen Sturza appreciated the level of training of the 70 term and contract soldiers involved in the exercise, who demonstrated that well trained troops are maintained through training, applications and exercises, and last but not least, by dedication.
Minister Sturza added that in the context of the recently launched National Army's Professionalization Initiative, contracted militaries will be involved in various national and international exercises, because only high-intensity practical action on polygons will achieve high performances.
According to Major Dumitru Parfeni, Principal Specialist in the General Staff, the applications were aimed at assessing the degree of combat preparedness of two units of the unit.
The source specified that the firings were made from 120 mm, 2S9 NONA artillery weapons at a firing distance of 2.5 km, as well as ZU -23-2 anti-aircraft weapons from the National Army.
The exercise takes place in accordance with the Battle Plan for 2018.
