Spreading misinformation, Maia Sandu manipulates public opinion
The leader of the Action and Solidarity Party, Maia Sandu and several sites that support opposition parties manipulate public opinion by promoting false information.
They argued that Publika TV had tampered with a photograph used in the Fabrika show, about which media analyst Cristian Tabără made public statements.
The mistake was committed within Fabrica on 27 July. Cristian Tabără made a series of comments on a photo taken from the press. In the same edition, the journalist understood that the picture was tricked and apologized publicly.
The next day, Maia Sandu accused Publika TV deliberately smashing the picture, although Cristian Tabără said the photo had been taken from a satire portal.
Moreover, Maia Sandu, in her commentary on a social networking, did not mention that Tabără had recognized his mistake and apologized publicly.
In addition, several Moldovan sites took over the words of Maia Sandu without asking for the reaction of Publika TV or Cristian Tabără.
While other media (jurnal.md, independent.md and evzmd.md) provided biased information, neglected the journalist's retractions and misinformed the public, Cristian Tabără, after this mistake, corrected the misinformation in the Fabrika show on the following day.
The journalist confirmed that that photograph that was not owned by Publika TV was mistakenly used and without modification by the TV station.
