State-of-the-art laboratories inaugurated in Technical University of Moldova
Economy Minister Chiril Gaburici has participated the inauguration of the ultramodern laboratory platform ICT and Systems Engineering - CIRCLE, within the Technical University of Moldova (UTM).
The laboratories are designed for UTM students and professors in four faculties of technical, electronic, mechanical, engineering majors.
The Minister, at the event, said the endowment of these laboratories represents an important step in creating new IT specialists.
"IT sector is a priority for Economy Ministry. I'm glad to know from now thousand UTM students will be able to turn knowledge to pragmatic approaches in these laboratories", said the Minister.
The Platform of Laboratories is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Swedish Government in partnership with the Technical University of Moldova.
Its cost, which is the result of a public-private partnership, amounts to 230 thousand dollars. 100 thousand dollars was provided by the Moldovan Competitiveness Project.
Moreover, the Technical University of Moldova invested over 1 million lei to renovate the laboratory rooms with a total area of 600 square meters.

Laboratories will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as programmable components, sensors, transmitters, receivers, processors, robot sets etc.
