State will support businesswomen with grants amounting to 14 million lei

Over 2 500 entrepreneurs will be trained to develop their abilities. Each year, 100 new businesses launched by women will also receive grants from the Government, while another 10 will receive export potential - with grants for big investments. This is foreseen within the action plan 2018-2020 for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, approved by the Government.
"We will support everyone that will fall within the category. We spoke of 100 businesswomen. Therefore, 100 women will remain in Republic of Moldova and launch their own small enterprise. 100 businesswomen represents 100 reasons for me to believe in the country's economic growth potential" Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici said.
Businesswomen will be offered grants amounting to 14 million lei. According to the document, economic agents will also be trained in finding foreign business partners.
Entrepreneurs will receive financial guarantees to create and develop their companies. SMEs in Moldova represent 98.7% of the total registered enterprises.
