STOP ACCIDENT! Nearly hundred of Orhei students carry out road safety flash-mod
A group of 80 students of the Medicine College and the Crafts School in Orhei gathered in a flash mod to send drivers messages "A second of attention, a life is saved". The event was organized within the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, which takes place on the third Sunday in November yearly.
The young people held colorful balloons.
"A drunk driver can probably lead to various harmful situations. We strongly urge people to stop driving drunk", said a participant of the flash mod.
The actions were carried out in close collaboration with the Orhei Police.
"12 policemen were involved in this event today. Exceeding speed and drunk driving are the most likely causes of road accidents", said Orhei Police Chief Tudor Curchea.
According to the National Patrol Inspectorate, over 2500 road accidents have been recorded and killed 226 people in 2019 alone.
